Quick Hits: Volume CCCVI

The former Governor of Maryland was out before he got in.

Given that Hogan is a "pro choice" and pro "gun control" Republican, he would have gotten very little traction to be the 2024 nominee. However, my concern was he would've been so steadfast in redefining today's Republican party (i.e. dragging it to the center) that he would've pulled a John Kasich circa 2016 by playing spoiler against the non-Trump candidates.

It'll be interesting to see if Hogan endorses any of the GOP candidates before the matter is settled. He said last month that he doesn't believe Trump will ultimately be the nominee, but he wouldn't commit to backing Trump if he somehow is the Republican candidate in '24.

- If all you saw was the following video footage,......

.....how would you have known that leftist terrorist group Antifa was responsible had Andy Ngo not called them out? Simple. CNN's coverage of the attack mentions neither "left" nor "Antifa."

- My wife and I saw the movie Jesus Revolution over the weekend. It's a film based on the true story of the late 1960s/early 1970s spiritual movement which led many thousands of individuals to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

While I knew of this great movement only on the periphery, it was inspiring to see how it all came together. It was also encouraging in that the challenges many young people faced in the late '60s (i.e. feelings of hopelessness in a seemingly broken world, a longing to be loved unconditionally, etc.) are similar to what Gen Z and younger millennials are struggling with today. I don't believe it's a mistake that the recent occurrence of the Asbury revivals has gained so much interest and notoriety.

Anyhow, I highly recommend checking out the film. Even if you're a believer already, definitely bring along some non-believing or unchurched friends and be prepared to discuss.

Thank you Jesus for this wonderful witnessing opportunity!
