The Major League Baseball Amateur draft begins tomorrow. Of all the drafts in professional sports, the MLB affair has to be the most inexact science of them all.
For example, perennial All-Stars like Don Mattingly (19th round selection), Keith Hernandez (42nd round) and Mike Piazza (62nd round) were almost afterthoughts.
But sometimes it's the moves you don't make that can make a franchise.
