To be honest, I only occasionally glanced up at the TV during the performances of mega pop stars Shakira and Jennifer "J-Lo" Lopez. But the ladies among our Super Bowl gathering were locked in to the show and thus conveyed such verbal reactions as "Oh my!" and "Is that supposed to be a stripper pole?" and "Wow, the hips truly do not lie!"
As with any high profile event, there are viral responses on social media. Youth Pastor Jeff Grenell recounted some of the more popular ones.
“Best halftime show ever“— y t h o l o g y (@jeffgrenell) February 3, 2020
“Worst halftime show ever“
“Love my Latinas & our culture“
“This isn’t a good image for us”
“Loved children on stage“
“This promotes child sex traffic“
“It’s just culture, art, and dance“
“Grabbing your crotch is not art”
America speaks.#SuperBowl
Here's what I'd ask those who are on the more conservative side (as well as support Donald Trump), thus expressing moral outrage at the sight of the gals' gyrations and grabbing of nether regions. How do you reconcile that with your support of President Trump, who talked openly about grabbing women down there and proclaiming he doesn't need redemption for past sexual dalliances?
And for those prog women shrieking "SLAYYYYYYYYYY QUEEEEEEEEENS" during the JLo/Shakira show? How many of you applauded the Miss America organization for ditching the lifestyle and fitness competition (aka the bikini portion of the pageant) because it was sooooo degrading to the women and not the least bit empowering?
Just askin'......
