Domestic terrorism?

Unlike progs in the aftermath of a mass shooting, I'm going to withhold speculation on what looks to be a deliberately violent act aimed at conservatives.

Federal and local agencies are investigating a fire that broke out early Sunday morning in an office building in Golden Valley that houses three of the state’s most prominent conservative organizations.

Ashlee Sherrill, public information officer for the St. Paul Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), did not provide details or indicate who, or if anyone, was targeted but confirmed the investigation is moving forward as an “arson investigation.”

John Hinderaker, president of the Center of the American Experiment (CAE), said based on the location of the fires in the building, it appears that someone targeted conservative groups.

“The fires were obviously set by someone. They targeted conservative organizations. They didn’t firebomb the chiropractors or psychologists or Manufacturers Alliance. We are working with authorities to try to identify the perpetrators,” Hinderaker said.

The Golden Valley Fire Department responded to a fire at 8421 Wayzata Blvd. shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning, according to the fire department.

The nonprofits TakeCharge, CAE, and the Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC) all rent office space in the building. CAE and TakeCharge are located on the first floor. UMLC is on the third floor. All three organizations advocate for conservative causes across the state and each reported extensive damage.

Given it was three conservative organizations specifically hit, it doesn't take a ton of dot-connecting to arrive at leftwing domestic terrorism. But, again, I say that we should allow the investigation to play out, no matter where it may lead.

Since the DFL controls all levers of power in Minnesota, they feel it's a license to legislate like we're a cold California, lie with impunity on national news shows and gaslight the public on the the disastrous consequences of their policies. But they also see fit to jump around like poo-flinging monkeys amid suffering of their political opponents. That's your cue, Rep. Andy Smith (DFL-Rochester).

After what I'm certain was much backlash, Smith nuked his entire Twitter account.

My guess is Smith will be back in a few weeks after a cooling down period. And because he's a prog, it'll be completely glossed over by most (if not all) mainstream media outlets. But if Smith's ghoulish joke is covered at all, it's not beyond our media to frame it as "Conservatives pounce on Rochester legislator over a joke."

At any rate, since the Feds are investigating this fire, they'll likely have as much success finding the perp(s) as the Secret Service did in determining who left cocaine behind in the White House
