From the AP Twitter feed on Tuesday:
Enthusiasm to pass abortion bans in Republican-dominated states provides stark contrast to the more muted efforts to protect abortion rights in states controlled by Democrats. https://t.co/X6NqTmszvM— The Associated Press (@AP) May 27, 2019
Flashback to January when Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) signed into law the "Reproductive" "Health" Act which could potentially allow abortions up to moments before birth.
The #ReproductiveHealthAct is now law in New York State. We lit the spire pink to celebrate. pic.twitter.com/dJbZqvWefV— Andrew Cuomo (@NYGovCuomo) January 23, 2019
So if you consider "muted" the equivalent of lighting in pink the spire atop one of the world's tallest and most renown buildings, then absolutely.

Another good example of a "muted" defense of abortion rights is the Virginia bill that would pretty much have legalized infanticide in some cases. Um, 14th Amendment, Democrats? Ever heard of it?
