We paid Jennifer Carnahan to "go away." Please, let her do so as quietly as possible. Continuing to talk about it simply sustains the division her departure, appropriate or not, created and must be overcome.

Why? She sure as heck isn't affording us that courtesy.
Not obvious to me, but we don't have to, and shouldn't, compete to riven the Party.
For me, this whole saga transcends the party. I have personal friends who were adversely impacted by Jenny's behavior, people whose livelihoods she threatened if they shared any details. Now I know you presume all accusers are liars, and you're welcome to that belief. But when it comes to a handful of these accusers I know personally, I would put up any amount of money as a bet that they're telling the truth.
All I'm saying is if Jenny wants to perpetuate the notion that she's a victim, that's going to backfire on her big time. You want us to allow her to go quietly? Fine. Then she needs to drop the martyr b.s.
I didn't say anybody was a liar, either, and I DO know people--people I respect-- who claim to be victims of her "tyrannical rule." I prefer to always see the best in people, and to assume that long after most people say otherwise. It's maybe a character flaw. But again, this started out as some sideways accusation that somehow JC was responsible for the evil activities-- of which she could not possibly have known nor approved-- of a major donor. The Party acted correctly and returned all the "tainted" money (as best it could).
Then there were the accusations of financial improprieties and questionable HR activities, particularly NDAs, which are a common practice in all business endeavors. The financial audit is still getting underway and the HR review has not nearly finished, so why have we already "had the trial and passed sentence"? Knowing the finance team, I doubt any improprieties will be found beyond a couple cases of poor judgement, and then in hindsight. Those we both know with HR complaints would have been considered during an HR review, and that needs to be completed so that new policies, if necessary, can be instituted, with checks and balances.
But the hue and cry made it "impossible for her to continue." I understand that. But now we have to stop fighting that battle, regardless of what she does, and quickly move on. I hope we can find a "unifier," and one that can very quickly and effectively get the Party back on track after this disruption.

Lazzaro became more than a donor. He was personal friends with JC and her husband. He even financed her three campaigns for party chair. Combine that with her pathetic statement in reaction to Lazzaro's, it almost seemed she was providing cover. While I concede she had no clue of his illegal activities, there was no way the party would maintain a shred of credibility if she remained chair, especially when the Lazzaro trial commences.

Yes, to prevent departing employees from disclosing an organization's *trade secrets,* not as "hush money."

This ain't a court of law. It's politics where perception is everything. As such, the threshold for handing down a "sentence" in a political environment is much lower than a criminal trial in front of a judge/jury.

Not a Republican? The qualifications for that are SO low, I'm surprised. Are you a delegate to State Central, where you get a vote?
I've never been a State Central delegate.
