Dem demagogues

Rarely has a day gone by over the past six months where some high profile pearl-clutching proggie or Dem elected official hasn't invoked the date of January 6, 2021. That of course was the date the United States Congress was to certify the results of the Electoral College results showing Joe Biden being elected President, only to be overshadowed by a handful of Donald Trump supporters storming the U.S. Capitol

Some have called what occurred on 1/6 as an "Insurrection" when in actuality it was a bunch of fit-throwing rubes who would likely mess up robbing a 7-11, to say nothing of having the first clue how to overthrow a duly elected government (Besides, as President Biden said recently, successfully completing such a complex operation requires F-15s and nukes). This not to say I justify the actions of those who stormed the Capitol that day. Truth be told, Trump's behavior on 1/6/2021 ensured that I will never support him in any bid to seek elected office in the future. That said, what we witnessed that day is something that had been happening on a larger scale on a nightly basis for weeks in Portland, OR, with a fraction of the media coverage. Also, some instances of looting and burning of cities last year was dubbed "mostly peaceful" by the same ilk who suggest that 1/6 is worse than the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil

Given the opposite party of the sitting President does well in the first midterms, Republicans have a built-in advantage going into next year. As such, the Dems are looking to pull out all the stops in an effort to halt the GOP momentum which began in 2020 with surprising gains in the U.S. House. That was in spite of Democrats being projected to augment their significant majority.

I think you can see where this is going.

From conservative commentator Erick Erickson

The next piece of advice from (Democrat strategist James) Carville is that Democrats must define the Republicans by January 6th. If Democrats can define the Republicans by January 6th in the way Republicans define the Democrats by Defund the Police, then you could mitigate a Republican surge in 2022. That is exactly what the media is doing. I know and like James Carville even as we disagree on politics. The media adores James Carville. He's always good for a one-liner and he typically knows his stuff. James Carville is right that the academic faculty lounge rhetoric used by the democratic elite right now is costing them.

No one in America uses the word Latinx, except a bunch of white progressives. It rhymes with Kleenex. It doesn't exist in Spanish. That word cannot exist in Spanish and yet white progressives like Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden use the word Latinx. These are the academic faculty lounge woke conversations James Carville's been warning them about.

Vice News is running stories on the reporters who are suffering from PTSD from January 6th. That tells you everything you need to know about the reporters. These reporters are so angry about January 6th, they're not willing to give Republicans a fair hearing, including the Republicans who condemned January 6th.

This is all about 2022. It's not about the truth. It's not about the commission. It's not about finding out what happened. We know what happened. This is about winning elections. The media threw in with the Democrats and right now are doing their best to define Republicans by January 6th. And by the way, I say this as someone who views January 6th as bad and believes that people need to go to jail. It was not a peaceful gathering and it sure as hell was not Antifa.

This has the potential to backfire spectacularly on leftists. The main reason is leftists (especially the very vocal "Squad") have openly broached de-funding police while essentially blaming a rise in violent crime on an increase of gun ownership among law-abiding citizens. So while some citizens are lectured that their expectation of being protected by law enforcement (paid for by their tax dollars by the way) is a "privilege," you have elected officials using the power of their office to probe an event which was far less violent than what some citizens witnessed in their neighborhoods multiple times over the past year.

The fact that demagoguing the 1/6 incident will be the Dems' main campaign strategy for 2022 shows how they're utterly bankrupt of fresh ideas. So much for "progress."
