D'Backs veteran Asdrubal Cabrera faced Padres hurler Ryan Weathers in this game. As a second year player in 2008, Cabrera, then a member of the Cleveland Indians, faced Weathers' father David in a May game that season. As such, Cabrera became the first player in MLB history to face that particular father-son duo.
