October 27, 1991

It was 30 years ago today when the Minnesota Twins won their second World Series in five years, outlasting the Atlanta Braves in seven games.

In my humble (but accurate) opinion, this is still the best World Series in MLB history with five games being decided by one run, four on the final pitch and three going into extra innings.

About a month ago, my friend and fellow Twins nut Andrew Richter did a deep dive into that magical 1991 Twins season. Check it out if you're so inclined.
