Call it what you want

No, President Trump calling COVID-19 the "Chinese Virus" is not racist. It is simply a reminder of where this outbreak originated and how the Chinese communist government covered up the severity of it. And the fact the American media is parroting Chinese commie propaganda, some of which blames the U.S. for creating this pandemic, is beyond outrageous.

That said, Ian Bremmer has a point when he essentially says that labeling this the "Chinese Virus" is nonproductive (pardon the language). 

Did coronavirus come from China?
Yes.

Did it expand globally because the Chinese govt covered it up for a month?
Yes.

Does China produce most of US medical supply chain?
Yes.

Is it wise to antagonize China in the middle of this crisis?
Are you fucking kidding me.

To reiterate, the U.S. has outsourced a significant amount of its medical supply chain to China. As such, the Chinese Communist Party has already threatened to withhold critical supplies given the antagonistic rhetoric between the countries.

I'm certainly not saying we should kowtow to the CCP or even absolve them of responsibility for this current outbreak. But once America comes out on the other side of this pandemic (with what we pray are minimal casualties), we absolutely need to re-assess why we're not as self-sufficient as an alleged superpower should be.
