- United States Navy SEALs established.
- My old man was a mere five months away from graduating high school (Yikes!!!).
That day also marked the last time the University of Minnesota football team played in a bowl game on New Year's Day.
But in a little more than three weeks, that all changes!

ReplyDeleteYou get used to it. ;)
True, I suppose it's old hat for Bucky faithful.
ReplyDeleteIf this indeed becomes a regular thing for the Gophs, I hope I never take it for granted.
You won't take it for granted, because it's hard to do. But I'm pretty sure you won't have to wait another half century for another New Year's Day bowl game. The Gophers are well positioned for success for the future at this point. I would not be surprised if the Axe is in the trophy case in Minneapolis next season.
