First and foremost on the agenda is, of course, the shutdown of Minnesota state government. With
Speaking of chief executives wanting to redistribute income, President Barack Obama garnered some interesting reactions to his press conference/campaign speech this past Wednesday. As a result, we finally determined where the line is drawn as far as the rhetoric used by MSNBC personalities.
There was also some news with the GOP Presidential candidates this past week, which I hope to address.

regarding your comments concerning marriage v partnerships:
ReplyDeleteno matter what we call it, dont we basically have domestic partnerships anyway and the govt has just misnamed them as 'marriages'?
legal marriage doent really mean much anymore. the heteros have done a darn good job of seeing to that destruction in the past few generations.
just a thought...
as my fundementalist, recently divorced friend who's wife left him for another says: bah! let the homos have it.
It's funny to watch the right wing dolts try to spin lies in Minnesota. Sorry, this isn't South Carolina, we're not confederates and we don't embrace the racist, shovenist vision that the confederates are still desperately clinging to (FYI, you lost that war).
ReplyDeleteDayton has moved $1.7 billion from his initial budget. The GOP moved $200 million. State funding was lower under Dayton's proposal than the last budget, once you account for school shift repayments and other budget gimmicks used by Pawlenty (aka the spineless wonder).
Can't wait to tune into the show and learn more about the 2012 runner-up for POTUS. Bachmann is at worst the VP at this point, and she is at best as much of a liability as Palin was. Should be fun to watch from my point of view.

ReplyDeleteSad, but true. And as our pal Night Writer says, God likely isn't any more offended at same-sex "marriage" than he is a man and woman making vows in a church yet never including the Lord in their union.
The GOP moved $200 million.
ReplyDeleteBZZZZT!
The GOP desired to roll back to 2009 numbers, which was about $30-$31 billion. Their latest proposal is $34.
Can't wait to tune into the show...
Apparently you can, since this post was dated yesterday. Man, you've pretty much fudged up every number in your vapid comment.

You go ahead and keep believing that. Her message of restoring fiscal sanity to the country (as well as repealing Obamacare) has so resonated with the electorate that she has soared in the polls. Underestimate her at your own peril.
You caught me. I wouldn't listen to your show if I was being paid to. There are enough vacuums of truth in our media today. I don't need to fuel that arsenal.
ReplyDeleteBrad even you know that Michele Bachmann and sanity do not mix well. She only appeals to the fringe of the right wing electorate. The polls she surged in are Republican polls. She rises at the peril of the GOP. This is obvious. Her and Obama or Biden in a debate would be a laughingstock.
Nice try with the budget numbers too. Apparently the stimulus money and the school shift from the last budget didn't count. Let me know when you find that money on the accounting sheet. For a conservative you sure are bad with numbers!
